  • A waterfront estate has more than doubled Burraneer's property transaction record
  • 333 Woolooware Road is a luxurious 5-bedroom, tri-level home
  • The property neighbours "Australia's finest home"

The $20 million transactions of a waterfront estate on the Burraneer Peninsular has set a new record for the South Sydney suburb, more than doubling the previous benchmark of $9.1 million set by a sale transacted in August 2020.

Residents of 333 Woolooware Road will enjoy the property’s expansive views over Burraneer Bay. The 5-bedroom, tri-level home is set on a block of over 2,000sqm with deep water frontage and lush gardens.

The home is neighboured by a property that made headlines when it went up for sale last year after being dubbed “Australia’s finest home”. The mansion’s extravagance and the heated property market have not proven enough as almost one year on it is still on the market. Price expectations were said at the time to be upwards of $50 million for the property.

The $20 million sale of 333 Woolooware Road has surpassed Sutherland Shire’s previous price record of $16.3 million, set when the ‘Palazzo Georges’ trophy home in Sylvania sold in February this year.

333 Woolooware Road was marketed by Highland Property Group‘s Mitchell Wynn and Laura McKay.

Highland CEO David Highland said scarcity is driving the record-breaking transactions.

“Burraneer has been primed for a value surge, and we’re witnessing that now with back-to-back records toppling as buyers clamour to secure premium waterfront product.”

“Demand in the prestige market continues to be driven by scarcity of supply, and when coupled with the rarity of one of Burraneer’s last remaining waterfront estates, its no surprise that this home attracted such a substantial figure,” he said.

The home offers unique luxuries, from a heated swimming pool and spa overlooking Burraneer Bay to a boatshed and remote jet ski dock. It also has a jetty, pontoon and mooring pen, and secure gated entry to a five-car garage.

The property boasts a multitude of grand lounge and dining areas, along with a home office and several entertaining terraces bathed in sunlight. Its lavish master bedroom retreat comes complete with a full ensuite and walk-in robe. While four other bedrooms feature their own walkthroughs and designer ensuites.

333 Woolooware Road comes with embedded technology including an automated control system linked to blinds curtains, air conditioning, listing, audio and security.

Highland sales agent Mitchell Wynn sees the home as a gem amoung the Burraneer market.

“This property epitomises the best of Burraneer luxury, with key waterfront amenity, pristine views, and high end finishes throughout,” said Mr Wynn.

The property last sold for $5.65 million in 2012.
