  • Claremont topped the podium with the most property sales for the week
  • Perth was the most popular rental spot with the most leases
  • Total listings for rental and sales are down from the same time last year

REIWA’s latest Perth Market Snapshot has Claremont topping the charts as the most popular suburb, with 24 property sales this week. The podium holding suburb was followed by Scarborough on 14 sales and Canning Vale on 13 total sales.

This market snapshot for the week ending 14 February showed sales activity climb by seven percent. Growth was stimulated by a four percent increase in house sales and a 31 percent increase in unit sales.

The total property sales listing reached 7, 816, this figure is 38 percent lower than the same time year ago.

On the rental side of the market, Perth topped the charts with 32 lease properties, closely followed by East Perth at 28. Maylands and West Perth tied in the bronze place with 17 leased properties each.

There has been an eight percent growth in the properties listed for rent compared to the previous week.

The week ended with a total of 2,896 listings. This number is 49 percent less than the same time last year.
