  • Three-bedroom property asking prices are a touch under $300,000 in Kalgoorlie
  • Smaller properties being constructed in Greenview at Karlkurla estate
  • DA submitted for terraced homes in the area

Thirty-one new residential lots will soon go up in Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Located in the GreenView at Karkurla residential estate, the lots will range from 544 square metres to 888 square metres, in stage three of the estate.

Civil works are expected to commence soon, with 20 local workers based on site to prepare the area for development.

This comes as Lot 205 at GreenView has been sold. Development approvals have been submitted for the 6,011 square metre lot to be developed into 23 three-bedroom terraced houses.

Currently across the Goldfields, a three-bedroom house fetches north of $250,000, the average for all residential property in the region is closer to $300,000, according to SQM.

Looking at just Kalgoorlie, three-bedroom property asking prices are a touch under $300,000, with all property types around $350,000.

You can still find some gems though. A quick search on various listings sites shows Somerville had many larger homes for sale; we found this five-bedroom property for $750,000 – sitting on 2,606 square metres of land.

Realestate.com.au puts the median house price for Somerville at $490,000, and three bedrooms are similar to SQM, at $320,000.
