The latest luxury holiday home available for co-ownership through the Ko platform will have you relaxed and rejuvenated quicker than you can say “Bula Vinaka!” – the Fijian welcome that translates to “the good life”. Nestled among the rainforest on the coast of Taveuni Island, the luxurious Raiwasa Villa was once an exclusive resort. It still promises to pamper its new owners in its new life as an onsite managed holiday home.

While many coastal spots claim to be paradise, this undisputed slice of heaven is among Fiji’s finest. The South Pacific nation of more than 330 islands is a popular tourist destination renowned for its warm welcomes, friendly smiles, incredible food experiences and exceptional natural beauty. Just one look at the smiling, stress-free faces of the locals will confirm that any worries and cares are where they should be, thousands of miles away.

Raiwasa Villa, on the northern end of Taveuni Island, is an idyllic location with breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding rainforests. The island is teeming with many lush rainforests, pristine waterfalls, blow holes, lagoons and unique wildlife to explore. Plenty of activities around the island will keep visitors busy, including hiking adventures, bird watching, coastal fishing, horseback riding and more.

Taveuni Island is known as the “Garden Island” for its fertile volcanic soil and unique flora and is home to Tagimoucia, the national flower of Fiji. They grow on the shores of Lake Tagimoucia, in an old volcanic crater high in the mountains. Local legends say the tears of a Fijian princess formed the rare flowers, who escaped to the forest to avoid an arranged marriage.

The natural beauty also continues under the water, with world-renowned scuba diving and snorkelling at nearby Rainbow Reef, often called the “soft coral capital of the world”. From tranquil reef dives to adrenaline-filled drift diving, divers of all levels can expect to see barracudas, manta rays, white-tip sharks, giant groupers, sea turtles and more.

There are many opportunities to enjoy Fiji’s unique underwater ecology, with more than 390 species of coral and 2,300 species of fish to explore. Fishing enthusiasts will also enjoy some of the world’s finest opportunities to catch species, including blue, black and striped marlins, yellowfin tuna, mahi mahi and pacific sailfish.

If mastering the art of relaxation is more to your liking, you’ve already found the jewel of the South Pacific. With numerous award-winning spas around the archipelago, pampering yourself with a spa treatment is a must for any Fijian getaway. Most spas in the area feature holistic healing and treatments inspired by ancient South Pacific traditions, techniques and local botanicals.

No visit to Fiji is complete without spending time with the local people and culture, and many unique experiences await within the islands. From the communal lovo, a traditionally cooked and indulgent feast, a kava drinking ceremony for honoured guests, or local Meke performances that tell Fiji’s stories through song and dance–there’s something for the whole family to enjoy.

All of these experiences in paradise and more await the new co-owners of this latest luxury holiday home available from Ko.
