- Developer Urbex has expanded into Western Australia, securing a site in Gosnells
- Construction underway for Homebrook, a 50-lot subdivision
- Offers unique lifestyle blending natural surroundings with urban facilities
Residential and commercial developer Urbex has put Perth on their radar, expanding their operations into the West Coast for the first time with the purchase of a site in Gosnells.
Urbex’s parent company BMD Group diversified into the Western Australian market in 2015, a move Urbex has considered for the past three years.
Urbex has now taken the leap, securing a 17,822 sqm site on Homestead Road in Gosnells, one of Perth’s growth corridors.
The developer recently commenced construction on the site, soon to become home to a 50-lot residential subdivision.

Established in 2003, Urbex have spent the past 18 years developing their reputation as a leader in residential and commercial developments of varied size and scale.
Until now, Urbex’s sights were firmly focused projects in the eastern states, with their developments most saturated in the Brisbane, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns, Darwin, Sydney and Melbourne markets.
After years of contemplation Urbex has secured a site in Gosnells, an area which General Manager Peter Sherrie said presented a unique opportunity for entry into a tightly held land market.
“With the Gosnells land acquisition, Urbex will apply urban design controls and housing design guidelines, enhancing the affordable value and quality community for future residents to call home.”

“After three years of searching for the perfect land for our West Australian expansion, Gosnells offered the opportunity to solidify our national footprint to the standard expected of any Urbex project,” Mr Sherrie added.
Natural surroundings with urban amenities
The residential development, to be named ‘Homebrook’, will combine all of the best features of outer suburbs living including access to open spaces, proximity to road and rail transport and conveniently located amenities.
Urbex Realty General Manager Craig Covacich said Homebrook will offer residents the chance to enjoy a lifestyle that allows for immersion in the natural surroundings with the facilities of a bustling urban environment.
“With a local population that’s grown 5.7 per cent over just five years, Homebrook will cater to the needs of young families who dream of homeownership.”

“In purchasing Gosnells we saw the key owner-occupier values of location to CBD, easy access via strong road and rail networks, proximity to respected schools and colleagues as well as open space for parks,” Mr Covacich concluded.
