  • Lite n' Easy is ranked the best healthy meal delivery service
  • Canstar Blue survey results reveal increased popularity of meal delivery services
  • COVID-19 restrictions has undoubtedly allowed these services to thrive

Healthy meal delivery service, Lite n’ Easy has topped the rankings for the second year in a row, according to performance reviews by Canstar Blue.

With COVID-19 restrictions pushing consumers towards contactless online retail (discussed further in this article), healthy meal delivery services have thrived in this environment.

According to survey results from Canstar Blue, healthy meal delivery services have increasingly become more popular, with approximately 19% of Australians admitting to using the service for the first time during COVID-19.

Respondents weighed in on factors including taste and quality, variety of meals, freshness, ease of ordering, delivery, customer service, and overall satisfaction. Lite n’ Easy was the only brand to achieve 5 stars across all categories.

“We are thrilled to be rated number 1 again this year and are proud we were able to continue to deliver healthy meals safely to all of our customers, especially those who were most at risk over the past few months,” said Lite n’ Easy’s CEO, Dennis Stark.

Canstar Blue Editor-in-chief, Simon Downes congratulated the brand, commending them for adapting in a quickly evolving and competitive marketplace.

“Consumers are rightfully very demanding of their healthy meal delivery service provider, from the online ordering experience, to the quality of the food, meal variety, delivery options, and naturally they want to get good value for their money. There’s a lot to get right – and a lot that can go wrong – which makes Lite n’ Easy’s back-to-back wins so notable.

“It would make sense that the healthy meal delivery market continues to grow in the years ahead, so consumers are hard to please but likely to remain loyal to the companies that consistently deliver on their promises of providing great-quality, healthy meals at a reasonable price.”

The best healthy meal delivery services are listed below:

  1. Lite n’ Easy
  2. Choice Fresh Meals
  3. Dinnerly
  4. HelloFresh
  5. Marley Spoon
  6. Youfoodz

It will be interesting to see how these delivery services will continue to perform after we return to normalcy and restrictions are fully lifted across the country.

Have people’s preferences towards online delivery services permanently changed? Or will the easing of restrictions cause a full rebound of people out and about to food places and brick-and-mortar retail? Only time will tell.
