The deal was done off-market after local real estate agents approached the previous owners, Dutch media mogul Reinout Oerlemans and his wife Danielle.

It was the largest LA property transaction so far this year, and represented more than three times what the Oerlemans had paid for the home in 2015. There had been some extensive renovations and extensions completed over the intervening years, however.

There is, naturally, the obligatory music studio where the ‘Blinding Lights’ singer can work.

As for Bel Air, together with Beverly Hills and Brentwood, it is part of a high-priced area on the West LA known as the “three Bs”.
