Frasers Property Industrial has announced the acquisition of a 73.4-hectare industrial land parcel at Aldington Road in Kemps Creek, New South Wales.

The acquisition expands Frasers’ exposure to Western Sydney, the new site Frasers’ second estate at Kemps Creek and adds to a growing landbank in the Mamre Road Precinct.

“Frasers Property Industrial’s latest acquisition in Kemps Creek will grow our strategic landbank in Sydney’s west, where there has been a shortage of developable industrial land. The prime location allows customers to be strategically situated within a major distribution hub for New South Wales, which provides easy access to Sydney’s CBD and airport,” said Frasers Property Industrial general manager – NSW, Roland Martin.

“As the industrial and logistics sector continues to experience growth in western Sydney, we recognise the need to support the local community and workers with world-class amenities, state-of-the-art building design and innovative sustainability credentials.

“We look forward to creating another industry-leading estate at the new site, where we will continue to create new benchmarks for the industrial sector.”

The acquisition was made across two closely connected land parcels.

Frasers said the estate will feature warehouses, distribution centres, freight transport facilities and premium health and wellbeing amenities across a large 63.28-hectare parcel and a smaller 10.12-hectare northern lot.

The property is also positioned close to Frasers lifestyle precinct, The YARDS, and is well positioned for heavy vehicle accommodation required for warehousing and distribution, with excellent access to the Westlink M7 via Mamre Road, Bakers Lane and Elizabeth Drive. Sydney Airport and the Sydney CBD are also only 45km and 53km away respectively.

“Frasers Property Industrial has expanded its landbank in Kemps Creek once again – a decision that was supported by the significant leasing inquiry and ongoing success at our nearby estate The YARDS. It follows other recent acquisitions in our Australian portfolio, including at Cobblebank in Melbourne’s west.   We are proud to announce our latest major acquisition, which is set to create thousands of local jobs as planning and construction gets underway,” said Frasers Property Industrial executive general manager, Ian Barter.

“A strong development pipeline in Australia shows that Frasers Property Industrial is well positioned to sustain the impressive growth witnessed in the past two years, which has seen the Australian platform grow to more than $5.5 billion of assets under management. With full occupancy across our facilities, we are pleased to be undertaking more industry-leading projects, which will support the ongoing demand from our customers.”
