After a case was recorded on a Qantas flight from Perth to Melbourne this morning with a gentleman who had been previously been quarantining in Perth, Premier Mark McGowan has just announced Perth is going back into a 3-day lockdown over the long weekend.

The three-day lockdown will begin at midnight tonight (Friday) WA time with masks compulsory from 6pm tonight.

This means the lockdown will take effect all through the ANZAC-Day long weekend – Sat, Sun and Monday.

All pubs, bars and clubs will close. There will be no community sport, and no ANZAC dawn services. Weddings and funerals will be allowed, with a maximum of 100 people, all wearing masks.

More details will be available from other sources…
