Perth will soon light up the night with the return of the Winter Lights Festival at Brookfield Place, in the heart of the CBD.

This year, the festival will see light sculptures by the likes of Amigo and Amigo, Carla O’Brien, and The Electric Canvas.

Amigo and Amigo will be featuring their Trumpet Flowers, with Carla O’Brien featuring her Neon Wonderland. The Electric Canvas will be delighting crowds with Carnivale-themed projections.

“For the best part of a decade we have been delivering a fantastic light festival for the city of Perth but our customers and the city have told us they want more. We are absolutely delivering on that,” said Alison Beamish, WA State Manager for Brookfield Properties, which owns and manages Brookfield Place.

“And of course, there’s plenty on offer for our light enthusiasts. We have worked with local and interstate artists to light up Brookfield Place with projections and light installations,” said Mrs Beamish.

“This year is all about inclusivity – we have spaces and experiences for families, foodies, music lovers, shoppers; fun for all ages and budgets.”

The festival coincides with the 10th anniversary of the completion of Brookfield Place Tower 1, home to mining and resources company BHP.

Lord Mayor of the City of Perth, Basil Zempilas commented, “The City is proud to support Brookfield Place and their annual celebration of light and colour. The Winter Lights Festival is a crowd favourite for city workers, families, locals, and visitors alike to marvel and enjoy our City of Light.”

It will be the first time the festival will also include 11 nights of live music from emerging artists, along with arts and crafts markets over seven nights, roving performers, and more.

Among the up and coming artists to perform: Adrian Wilson, Johannah Grace, Sash Seabourne, Danny Bau, Pete Ashton, Ruby Miguel, Zack Linton, Nasman Donovan, Acoustic Luke, Brandon Gray, and Jhoe Mura.

The Winter Lights Festival at Brookfield Place Perth kicks off on Wednesday 24 August and runs until 3 September 2022 and is open from 6pm to 11pm.

The twilight markets will run from 24 August to 27 August and then 1 September to 3 September.
