A newly constructed Porsche dealership is revving into action at Osborne Park.

Formerly located at 101 Stirling Hwy, Nedlands, the new dealership has parked itself at 460 Scarborough Beach Rd, Osborne Park.

The design of the showroom is based on what is known as the ‘Destination Porsche’ concept.

Destination Porche moves beyond the car-selling business to become the epicentre of Porsche; it offers owners, guests, and enthusiasts the opportunity to be enveloped in a cornucopia of Porsche culture.

This dealership marks the second Destination Porsche showroom in Australia, with the first being in Brisbane.

The showroom will officially celebrate the opening of the Porsche Centre in Perth and celebrate 75 years of Porsche on 22 July 2023.

The neighbouring Nedlands Bentley dealership has also relocated next to the new Porsche showroom.

After serving as a dealership for over 20 years, the old Nedlands site is expected to change gears to become three apartment towers developed through a joint venture between Gurner, Costa Property Group and Grange Developments.

The estimated $500 million development will offer 332 residential apartments, ranging from one to three bedrooms, communal areas for residents, offer space for three restaurants, office and retail tenancies, as well as provide 580 car bays.

The development was rejected in July 2020. At that time, the proposal was rejected on 10 grounds, including failure to meet the vision of a new vibrant Nedlands, a plot ratio that will result in excessive building bulk contrary to the amenity and orderly and proper planning of the new Nedlands Town Centre, as well as the development causing a parking shortfall in the area.

After receiving approval to build a $320 million development back in early 2021, the development continued to undergo design amendments, which were blocked by the city.

However, the most recent amendments were approved by the city on Thursday and progress on the development is expected to commence soon.
