- Chris Venter appointed as Chief Technology Officer

REA Group has recently appointed Chris Venter as Chief Technology Officer and a member of REA’s executive leadership team. He will also lead REA’s capability building, talent and growth agenda across the entire technology community.
Mr Venter has over 20 years of experience in information technology and digital leadership, having held senior positions at ANZ Bank where he was previously the General Manager of ANZx Technology.
Mr Venter has also held global technology consulting roles for Accenture and Delloite.
He holds degrees in computer science and information technology from the University of Auckland and the University of Technology Sydney.
Mr Venter now joins REA Group with a focus on driving improvement across the platform experience, data foundations, and operating model.
REA Group’s CEO, Owen Wilson, expressed his delight of the new appointment of Mr Venter.

Mr Venter enters his new role shortly after Kris Matthews, who was recently appointed by REA Group as Chief Product, Data, and Insights Officer within its new PropTrack business.
