The northern Sydney suburb of Willoughby will see a surge of new apartments on the market this month as property group, Mirvac, has announced the release of two new buildings.

With an extended undersupply of residence, Willoughby is one of the most difficult property markets to enter. It takes typically 13 years and 9 months to save for a deposit in the LGA.

‘Montage’ and ‘Overture’, are the latest in the latest installations in the 10 building development, NINE by Mirvac. The first three were released in November 2021, with more than 70% of apartments selling in the opening sales weekend.

Mirvac General Manager of Residential NSW Toby Long said the lack of housing choice in the area has been building for many years.

“The high number of local buyers is an indication of extremely strong pent-up demand for quality new homes in a location that is well-established with good quality schools, amenity and outdoor spaces.”

“We know of many buyers who have been waiting several years for this project to eventuate and have seized the opportunity it presents to either upgrade or downsize.”

Once complete, the development will offer 442 apartments across ten distinctly different buildings which will have an interconnected basement.

The 3.2-hectare site on which NINE by Mirvac is located will dedicate close to 6,500sqm towards green open space. This will include parks and a playground.

Montage & Overture

Montage is a boutique facility offering a large north-facing penthouse. The building will include a concierge desk in the lobby and around 150sqm of retail space on the plaza level.

Overture is located adjacent to one of the development’s green spaces called Laurina Square. Apartment offerings here are primarily two and three bedrooms. There are also single-level garden residences with generous courtyards and own private entrances.

Pricing for apartments at NINE by Mirvac ranges from $699,000 for 58sqm, Studio apartments all the way through to $3,995,000 for 215sqm Penthouses.

Construction has been underway since November 2020.
