From New York to Paris, local artist Dianne Ogg’s works have graced the walls of some of the world’s finest galleries. Next month, she will be exhibiting a collection at The Studio, a hybrid art space at Careel Bay Marina in Avalon, organised by Laing+Simmons Young Property.

The collection will be on display free of charge from 9 April to 4 May, with a percentage of the sales to be donated to local charity Living Ocean.

Dianne Ogg has been showcasing her work since the age of 17 and her paintings feature a vast array of themes. She is Sydney-based and regularly produces work on commission for art lovers in New York, Paris and beyond.

Born into an artistic family, Dianne continues in the paint strokes of Archibald-winning artist Gwen Pratt (FRAS), and her father’s cousin, Douglass Pratt (OBE).

The Studio is a community-focused hybrid creative space at Careel Bay Marina, an initiative of local real estate business Laing+Simmons Young Property.

“We’re proud to welcome a true artistic icon to The Studio so the community can engage with works that have resonated with audiences globally.”

“Dianne captures Australiana in a uniquely engaging, beautiful way, and we invite everyone to visit and experience these inspiring works for themselves.”

Amy Young, Laing+Simmons Young Property

Laing+Simmons Young Property husband and wife team Matt and Amy Young are passionate about supporting local creatives and each month feature a new exhibition at The Studio in support of a local charity.

Founded in 2010 in Whale Beach, Living Ocean is a citizen science, not-for-profit organisation that promotes the awareness of the human impact on the ocean through research, education, creative activity in the community and support of others who sustain ocean health and integrity.

Through partnerships with individuals and organisations, Living Ocean conceives, creates and coordinates campaigns that educate the community from the ‘No Plastic Please’ campaign, which is delivered in partnership with local schools, to film nights and lectures aimed at the wider community.

Additionally, Living Ocean raises funds for groups such as Sea Shepherd and Save Our Seabirds, making it a natural fit with The Studio’s raison d’être.

“The inspiration behind The Studio is for it to become a place synonymous with the local artistic community, a place where people can go to be reminded and inspired by the Northern Beaches lifestyle we all enjoy, while making a positive contribution to the local environment and the local community. We want local people to think of the space as theirs,” said Ms Young.

The Dianne Ogg collection is on display free to the community at The Studio from 9 April to 4 May from 8am to 4pm, seven days a week. The Studio by Laing+Simmons Young Property is located in Careel Bay Marina at 94 George Street, Avalon.
