An award-winning function centre has gone back on the market in Victoria. The current owners have decided to part with the CountryPlace Conference and Function Centre after running it for 30 years, with a view of retirement.

The initial sale was put on hold during Melbourne’s lockdown last year.

Located an hour from Melbourne’s CBD with stunning views down the Yarra Valley,  the property has a strong reputation in the wedding, event, and conference sector.

The centre is one of the most historic sites in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Pioneers Isaac Jeeves and his wife Ann originally built their home on the 5.078 hectare site in 1860. The current owners have established a small museum of photographs and artefacts celebrating these early settlers at CountryPlace.

CBRE Hotels’ Senior Director, Scott Callow, noted the rarity of a listing like CountryPlace.

“These types of properties are rarely offered to the market, with few developments like this having been undertaken in recent times.”

“The long-established CountryPlace business is incredibly well balanced and benefits from loyal clientele, attracting a broad mix of conference, weddings, universities and education programs, wellness, religious and hobby groups.”

The property sale is being reinvigorated by CBRE Hotels, a part of the Fortune 500 Company CBRE Group.

Expressions of Interest for the property close on 18th March this year.
