  • Aniko has released further plans for the $140 million No1. Grant Avenue project on Hope Island
  • Will feature 105 two-by-two plus study and three-bedroom apartments
  • 70 per cent of apartments already sold
  • Stage two will feature a ‘post-pandemic’ office precinct

Aniko Group is continuing their growth in Gold Coast developments by recently unveiling further plans for a $140 million development at No. 1 Grant Avenue on Hope Island.

The project follows the Group’s development application for 6-8 Sickle Avenue on Hope Island for the Sanctuary Cove precinct.

Stage-two will consist of 105 two-by-two plus study and three-bedroom apartments with access to bridge free marina berths.

Despite the sod-turning occurring only a few weeks ago for the second stage of the development, 70 per cent of apartments have already been sold. Stage one was popular too having been sold out in less than 12 months.

Aniko Group’s Managing Director, George Mastrocostas, said the second stage of the project was fast-tracked due to the overwhelming success of stage one.

“To have achieved such exceptional sales and demand for our projects during a year that was filled with a lot of uncertainty is a testament to the quality offering we have brought to market,” said Mr Mastrocostas.

“The market has remained exceptionally strong during Covid and buyers who missed out on securing an apartment in stage one have already purchased within stage two.”

Target markets for the new development include local owner-occupiers who wish to downsize into luxury apartments along with interstate migrants who are attracted to the Gold Coast lifestyle.

“There’s no doubt that the Gold Coast is one of the hotspots for residential property and with great lending conditions we are certainly seeing buyers transitioning into their next investment journey whether it is as an owner-occupier or investor,” says Mr Mastrocostas.

“With the recent border re-openings, we expect to see an increasing number of southern buyers purchasing in the project and we look forward to meeting the buyers who purchased in stage one, sight unseen, who haven’t been able to see their apartments until now.”

The development will feature a ‘post pandemic’ office precinct to facilitate those working from home.

In terms of recreation, the building will feature a Michelle Bridges designed health club and a children’s play centre.

Further announcements regarding Aniko’s 6-8 Sickle Ave project are expected in the coming months.
