- Canadian athletic apparel retailer will occupy 585sqm at Brookfield Place
- Represents the first multi-storey store in Australia for the brand
- Set to be opened in July 2021
Athletic apparel brand lululemon has secured 585 square metres of premium space over two floors at Brookfield Place Sydney.
The site will be home to the first multi-level store in Australia and New Zealand for the Canadian retailer and will occupy the ground and first levels of the George Street entrance to Wynyard Station, which has recently been redeveloped.
The deal represents the first of more flagship stores set to be announced that will front the George Street part of Brookfield Place Sydney. The doors are set to be opened for lululemon in July 2021.
Fellow incoming tenants include Moelis, NAB, Allianz, Hub and Brookfield itself along with a new food market called Locali.
lululemon sells technical athletic apparel and accessories for both men and women, focusing on pursuits such as yoga, running, training, cycling, and water-based activities.

lululemon’s Australia and New Zealand Managing Director, Paul Tinkler, added that along with the store set to become the largest among its Australasian portfolio, the store will allow for the retailer to connect with the Sydney CBD community.

Brookfield Place Sydney, which has been designed in collaboration with Make Architects and Architectus, seeks to transform Wynyard into an urban precinct, with the centrepiece 10 Carrington Street Premium Grade 27-level commercial tower catering for a total net lettable area of 59,000 square metres.
Brookfield Place represents Brookfield’s premium brandmark, which the company gives to only a select few property precincts globally. Brookfield Place in Perth – currently the second largest building in Western Australia – is the only other Brookfield Place in Australia. The remaining four are located in New York, Toronto, Calgary, and Dubai.
