  • In this week's market snapshot of Perth, Claremont is the most popular suburb to buy in
  • On the rental side of the market Perth's city centre is the favorite
  • This is according the freshly released REIWA weekly market snapshot

Claremont takes out the top spot as the most popular suburb to buy a house, in the week ending 14 February. 18 properties were sold in the North of the river suburb.

Scarborough was also a strong contender with 16 property sales. Followed closely by Gosnells where 15 properties were sold.

Total properties listed for sale that week are up by 2% from the previous week with 7,816 properties for sale in the city.

The figure is 6% lower than four weeks ago and 38% down from the same time last year.

Among rental properties, Perth’s city centre is the place to be with 39 properties leased during the week.

East Perth took out silver place at 22 properties leased. South Perth came in third with 17 properties leased.

There were 2,896 rentals available at the end of last week. This is an 8% improvement from the previous week.

However, available rentals are almost half what they were a year ago.
